These meters are just used to switch charging between night and day  eg economy 7.

The worst thing I ever did was let them put in a smart meter. Old meter was better they seem to put up the electric when they want.

You can’t just turn systems off if it will make so many meters obsolete. You should keep the radio frequencies active until all meters are booked in to be changed at least.

I'd of thought when your old fashioned dual rate meter permanntly stops receiving the Radio 4 RTS signal, you might lose out as your electricity meter will continue working, but just at the standard rate only. If incredibly somehow or other, your meter sticks on the 'off peak' rate, then lucky you!
