  I&apos;m going to say this as a former rabbit farmer there is no doe that can. be healthy producing that many offspring in a year You have to have more than one dough and you have to have more than one buck otherwise you&apos;ll have a real problem and you have to keep an eye on the genetics The other thing is you have to deworm the rabbits otherwise they can wind up with tularemia and trust me when you have a tularemia outbreak in rabbits that you have It gets expensive because you got to put them down and for those who don&apos;t know what tularemia is it is rabbit fever

  Whatever egglayer you pick, check that you can actually eat the eggs. Some people are allergic to duck eggs or even quail eggs. <br>And while chickens, ducks, geese hatch their own, quail needs an incubator since they don&apos;t go broody anymore (although there are the rare owners that manage it, that will not produce the numbers needed for meatproduction). <br>Chickens are omnivores, feed them on goatmilk and slaughterwaste to provide the animal protein/fat part of the diet. <br>Dwarf goats or pygmy goats (as they are also known in Europe) are not always selected for milk production, so pick your animals carefully if you expect milk worth the work and udders that are milkable. You may need to breed mini milkbreed goats by using dwarf bucks on milk does and create your own.

  We raised rabbits. &nbsp;We ate the meat and sold the pelts. &nbsp;You might talk about the time it takes to dress the animals. &nbsp;I am in awe of the time my father spent dressing the rabbits, preparing the meat for freezing and cooking. &nbsp;Skinning the rabbits also took time (and skill).

  I have about half an acre. <br>We raise rabbits, chickens, turkey, american guinea hog, sheep, and just got bees.

  several carp ponds (buried 1000 litre IBC&apos;s) instead of tilapia in temperate climates with ducks on top and diving for agitation, and added mollases to &apos;soak up&apos; nitrates. Feeding into aquaponics greenhouse in winter, outside in summer. periodically empty tanks and use sediment on beds. Chickens lay all year round in polytunnels for winter. Add windrows of compost for warmth to raise seedlings and for foraging. Wormery with brandling worms. Black soldier flies. Keep housing moving to deter foxes, and have treadle feeders and water containers on stands to deter rats. Have one year in three land clearance pigs goats cheese making whey to feed piglets, can at end of season, and put your feet up for two years, and lowers disease. Like the idea of pygmy breeds because of fencing and (my decreasing) strength but do they have much meat/volume ratio? &nbsp;And the pigs need 9 months to get to size instead of 6 which is difficult in winter months unless you plant potatoes at the beginning of the season (pop seed pots through 6 layers of newspaper with 8 inches of straw). But triple the bacon of a Hereford. Pigeons and crops ? you would have to grow seeds onto transplant size.

  Farm fresh eggs can be waterglassed. Extra produce and meat can be home pressure canned, smoked, and or dehydrated. Or freeze dried, if you have the funds for it.
