  imagine you get cast in a videogame adaptation. You're playing the lead character from one of the games. You expect to have a big role. instead all of your cool scenes get given to an OC character written solely for the director to give to his wife. ok that's not fine, but a gig is a gig, and you're a major character so you'll definitely be in the next one. nope. you are just not even mentioned in the next movie. that's these movies.
