  I discovered this in 1983 when I moved to Bangkok Thailand  from the USA. I am Mexican and in America I was treated as a second class citizen, too brown too Latin period. I was shocked when I moved to Asia I was stopped on The street for modeling jobs and became a big model on TV and in fashion magazine throughout Asia. I realized I wasn’t ugly and too brown just in the wrong country.

  Is there a cool girl, rebellious, weirdo pretty? Like attractive and healthy, &nbsp;but with an eccentric style? I&apos;m both shy and introverted, and I have ADHD and feel a bit awkward in a goofy way. I&apos;m 50 now, South Asian ethnicity, and I&apos;ve always leaned on my own version of counter-cultural style to express myself (and especially at my age now to feel seen). For example, even though I&apos;m a goth at heart, the bland colours of this world has me really digging in to 80s fashion at work such as bright loud colours, big crazy hair, star earrings (and I work with chemists and engineers, and am the only person at the company that wears makeup). I don&apos;t even care if everyone sees me as THAT odd cat lady. I &nbsp;DIY customize my own clothes, such as adding embroidery to my blazers, etc. <br><br>I was a late bloomer, and when I was younger, pretty girl automatically meant blonde, which I wasn&apos;t. <br><br>Oh well. My husband thinks I&apos;m beautiful. I know I&apos;m not NOT pretty anyways. I have been described as mysterious before, and a weirdo, which I take as compliments. <br><br>Well, thanks for letting me ramble on here.

  Thank you so much for this video. I&apos;ve been trying to be like the other &nbsp;pretty girls but fail Everytime. I&apos;ve now realized that they&apos;re other types of pretty and I just need to find my type.

  The first editorial beauty I met was a white girl name Pam in HS. &nbsp;I thought she was plain. &nbsp;Tall, slender, dish water blond. &nbsp;Absolutely unremarkable. &nbsp;Until you took her picture. &nbsp;Something about her check bones, chin, eyes made her stunning. &nbsp;Im talking no makeup. The camera loved her. &nbsp;Even people who knew her asked me &quot;whose that white girl&quot; when seeing her picture.

  I absolutely love this!! Thank you for sharing. I fall more into the dream girl category. Some men often feeeze when they look into my eyes. At first, I didn&apos;t understand it. They would often tell their guy friends to back off cause I was theirs. The downside is that they&apos;ve made a fantasy about me in their minds that isn’t me at all. Gratefully, I took a page from the hometown pretty girl&apos;s book and married a man from my hometown. He fell in love with the real me, not a fantasy version. <br>Now, I get to be his dream girl pretty wife with my backup archetype (hometown pretty girl) as the foundation. &nbsp;😊

  I’m the dream girl apparently (wouldn’t have called myself that, lol), never stop to amaze me how men tell me I’m perfect and all these qualities without knowing anything about me except my name. Men can become obsessed which can be terrifying. Chronically single partly because of this.
