Thank you, John Clifford, for posting this. Yes, horrible editing aside, it's so wonderful this film was made so we can see these dancers and Balanchine's work even now.

Unlike today’s dance world, I like that Balanchine consistently cast small female dancers with tall male dancers. It looks beautiful and I think it brings out masculine nurturing instincts too.

Mazzo is one of the most underrated Balanchine ballerinas EVER. She was fantabulous.
