I think this movie would have worked if Electro was the main villian and they just build up Harry's character in this movie to set up him becoming Green Goblin in the next one

At least Andrew Garfield found himself some closure in No Way Home. That's at least a happy-ish ending for the best part of this universe - not a high bar, but still.

Because the studio got greedy and instead of SLOWLY building to a cinematic universe, they threw everything they could into this one movie.<br><br>And it’s a shame cause Garfield was damn good as Peter

It's crazy that Sony had a clear lesson in what not to do after the mixed reception to Spider-Man 3, yet somehow made it even worse with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 by cramming too many villains into one movie. Even the end-credits tease for the Sinister Six was embarrassing 😭

Andrew Garfield was undeniably done dirty but if amazing spider-man didn't fall as high as it did than we wouldn't have gotten spider-man in the MCU and on the bright side Garfield did return greatly and may eventually come back again in the near future.
