  One of my favorite things about this video is seeing how just a few phrases of Japanese can open up doors.  People seem to relax so much, just from someone making an effort to use 1-2 basic phrases.

  Happy to see you return with everything open this time Nathan 👍<br><br>Oharaimachi is an amazing street featuring many traditional buildings some dating back 300+ years and still operating ! <br>Okage Yokocho located almost halfway along the street with its re-created and relocated buildings completed in 1993 add to its charm.<br><br>Isuzugawa coffee shop above the steps leading down to the river offers an amazing riverview while enjoying a coffee and sandwich.<br><br>The dried fish store is pretty amazing too with its full size dried fish some up to 8ft along its walls.<br><br>Get yourself to this incredible destination before the crowd finds it 😉<br><br>I stayed 12-days in Ise-Shima Mie in 2024 and absolutely fell in love with this whole region, it&apos;s now my number one favourite place in Japan. <br><br>Thanks for a glimpse, well done !

  Some Background, I visited Okage Yokocho a year prior, enjoyed it so much that returned the following year to show you guys! I think it was worth it.. A like and a sub would be great ;)

  I have been to Ise Jingu this March, and we stayed for two nights in a beautiful modern ryokan right on the sea in Toba. After visiting both Geku and Naiku, we spend some time on this street and had lunch and snacks there. It was very pleasant and not overly touristy (or touristy in a pleasant way).

  I don&apos;t care that it&apos;s a recreation, I like the vibe of this place. So ya, Okage Yokocho is now on my list. I could take my time and really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Seemed pretty damn near perfect.
