The very smart head of the PATH trains immediately shut this line down when the terrorists hit, allowing time for people to leave the station before the buildings collapsed on top of it. This is what saved lives.

It's a credit to the tenacity and indomitable spirit of those working at the site that this awful mess was cleaned up so fast. 25 years later, many have died from diseases related to their cleanup work; still more are chronically ill from this exposure. The federal government should cover the healthcare of each and every one of them. These people might not have saved lives, but they're still heroes in my book!

A total of 2,977 victims murdered that day. Some people do not know, but at least that number, is the number of people who have passed away since then, of 9/11 cancers and respiratory issues. In reality 6,000 plus people were murdered.
