It must be rather tough for England. Forty years on from 1986 and you’re almost over the trauma of “the Hand of God” and “the greatest goal ever scored” (yes, Maradona at the Azteca, of course). And just when you think the ghosts have settled, along comes another GOD — Messi — escorted by his loyal guardian angels, to send you packing once again.
