I’ve got to say, a huge THANK YOU to the Nightwish and symphonic metal community. You’ve completely opened my eyes to this amazing world of music, and I’m so grateful for your suggestions. I can’t believe I waited this long to dive in, but now I’m hooked. What’s your favorite Nightwish song or performance? Are there other bands I absolutely need to hear next? Let me know in the comments—I can’t wait to chat with all of you!

I was one of the 85'000 people in that crowd. Wacken 2013 was one of the most memorable festivals I've ever been.

I will never, ever get tired of watching reactions to this song. I’m an old Nightwish fan who grew up with Tarja as lead singer but I 110% recognize this as the better version of the song. Gives me intense chills every time.

FYI : Ghost Love Score was the 13th song out of 15 on the set-list, which means sbe pulled that masterpiece after being singing her lungs out for about 2 hours

Don't worry on nerding out on vocal techniques. We've heart plenty of people tell she is amazing. But only few people can tell WHY she's amazing.

I was one of the soubd engineer for the dvd and live recording / live sound. Hear this after 12 years and looking at how we made it so powerful, and so clean, and how coaches and listeners are aware of this is fullfilling me of proudness for what we did. And God, with Floor and all the band...it could not be made in a different way...they are fantastic...

Don’t worry about getting too technical with analyzing a Nightwish song, especially one sung by Floor Jansen. One of the common things to see in music reactions is that someone who is untrained in music or vocals will listen to Nightwish and might have an emotional reaction or might sort of put on a performance for their reaction video.

In contrast, when a trained vocalist watches Nightwish, they get blown away because they actually understand what is happening and recognize the difficulty of what Floor Jansen is doing. Although her performance is quite technical, it sounds appropriate for the song and does not sound like a technical exercise. Often, the trained vocalist reactor has far more to say about Nightwish songs than are expecting to. Many of us Nightwish fans aren’t quite trained in vocal techniques, so listening to a vocal coach explain what is happening can be quite interesting and educational for us.
