The '78 tour was the very first concert I ever went to. Oct. 78 (tickets were a b-day gift from my mom) they may have been dealing with their demons at the time but this show is still a high point in all the shows I've seen since.

I’ve heard rumor from people that was there at them shows in 70s and Aerosmith was just playing out horrible. One term I’ll never forget is” they can’t play their instruments live”.

There were some bright spots in 1978. It was like, at certain points or certain songs during the 1978 tour, they would decide to actually try. They had 4 major radio broadcasts in March 78, and there are moments in those shows where they decided to turn it on. In April 78 they played s great show in Southern California, which was Van Halen territory, so they were actually putting forth effort.

I have been an Aerosmith fan since i was 11 Toys/Rocks were master pieces. Saw them in 1988 at Giants Stadium NJ GNR and Deep Purple opened they both sucked but Aerosmith put on a master piece show they played until a little past midnight and let me tell you it was the loudest concert I was ever at, the hand rail and seats were vibrating my ears were ringing the next day! Great times!

I have one of the largest Aero boot collections in the world. I have a lot of their shows from 1978. Stadiums and theaters. Yea, they were pretty sloppy lol but over the years I’ve learned to love those shows because that’s classic Aero. lol
