  Someone on the original video also pointed out the possibility of a very minor brain injury. Tostada was originally found in a dumpster as a kitten; it’s very possible she was either thrown in there by a human or might have been dropped in there by her mother, and either situation would’ve easily led to her getting a concussion along the way.<br><br>It’s clearly not serious enough to cause her any serious decline in functioning, and it probably happened so long ago that she’s never known anything else and just adapted to it. But it might explain some of her quirks (which do seem similar to another YouTube cat, Puddles, who has a much more serious TBI).

  I had a similarly broken cat. He was orange (because of course he was) and his official vet record said, AND I QUOTE, &quot;incompatible with life in absence of human intervention&quot;

  Someone in Jaiden&apos;s comments theorized Tostada may have a condition that makes her pupils dilated most times which may mean she has poor vision during the day (and thus relies on smell more often). This would also explain why she&apos;s suddenly brave at night, since she can now see. Of course, there&apos;s no way to know without a vet checking her over, but I thought it was an interesting theory.

  My mother and I, who both have worked with animals all of our lives, agree that there’s something going on with Tostada’s brain with how bad her balance is described in the videos.

  I would note that Jaiden is rather new to not just cats as pets but, also the concept, as she has been allergic most of her life. So her only real idea of normal pet cats are the other 2 that her room-mate has. So anything that she might attribute as weird for a cat might just be her judging based on the other 2 cats in the house.

  My cat... She is such a eldritch abomination she eats the medicine outright, she literally doesn&apos;t care. In her brain medicine = food therefore <b>Consume without a second thought.</b>

  Considering that before Tostada, Jaiden only had her two birds, Ari and Tofu, it&apos;s no wonder she&apos;s surprised by normal cat behavior, but it&apos;s lovely nonetheless 😅<br><br> Anyway, it&apos;s always great to hear an expert&apos;s perspective! Cats are smarter than we think, and watching them develop their own personalities in a safe environment makes me very happy 🥲💕

  I remember her saying that tostada also has some minor balancing issues, so I have a suspicion that there is something slightly different with her brain, but I’ve only ever heard Jaiden talk about her. I haven’t actually seen more than a clip or two of tostada plus a few pictures, so I can’t say for certain. Still, probably worth noting.

  My cat is 10 now, and over the years she’s developed habits and routines. Nothing harmful to her or to us, just little routines that she does that are hilarious. Every night she does a goodnight lap around the house, going to each person’s bedroom, getting a quick cuddle session and moving onto the next person

  basically, Toastada isn&apos;t necessarily a weird cat, but cats are weird to adjust to if you&apos;ve never had them lol. very good video. Toastada reminds me of my little Ladybug, who learned to talk basically 24/7 probably because im so chatty with her. it&apos;s like having a full conversation with a babbling kid lol

  Our cat is like Tostada, she has zero interest in our food, which is funny since when she was a stray, she&apos;d go crazy over leftovers, but now the ONLY thing she enjoy, is butter! And I&apos;m glad because it&apos;s the only way I can give her any kind of medication
