  A common thing I see people ask for is the ability to output fuel from a chest to power generators? But guys if it worked that way, then people could power up their bases for over a year without needing to log-in, and if that happened, then there would be nobody to play on the map, because all the bases taking up space would be graveyards with a boatload of power to keep running in perpetuity.

  Came here to see how to get specific refined resources into specific chests. Very disappointing to see it’s not possible, at this moment anyway. Thank you for the information regardless, good video man.

  Note:  The handheld construction tool uses the sub-fief console's input circuit.  If you change it for re-fuel storage, you have to flip it back to build structures again.

  You can also use the output of a chest to block stuff from being used. For instance if you have a certain "DD" chest that you use to build your base every week, you can set the output to whatever number you want to use to prevent crafting stations from using those items. Apologies if someone already mentioned this.

  You're the only one that adequately explained this. I was getting things to output into the correct storage but I couldn't figure how the Fabs could actually see all my resources because the outputs on the boxes weren't set to 1.

  I've also noticed that if a chest/inventory has an INPUT (not OUTPUT) circuit other than Circuit 1, its contents don't appear in the Build Tool part picker.  ie. the structure in the build tool will be red as if you don't have the resources and it will have counts of 0, but once you actually select the structure and go to place the solido projection of it in the world, the HUD counter will correctly show the resources and you CAN build it.
