I've been to Nara three times now as day trips and always end up having only a small amount of time to see Todai-ji, walk in the park and a quick meal (raw chicken was a surprise). I thought I had seen the main draw cards. Clearly not. Would love to see more videos of what you can do beyond Nara as you hinted at.

Beautiful place really, I only had few hours there during my first visit. I definitely need to come back and stay overnight. Thank you both for sharing this video with us and yes, it would be amazing to see even more of that region!

Funny I saw most of these also (including the Udon restaurant) when I was in Nara in June for a day trip :)
You covered all my favourites !
we also got caught in some really heavy rain at the end of the day which was a real vibe with the deer taking refuge under trees and walking through the fog

I've watched many Kansai region videos and yours was the first one that I constantly paused to map out locations! Thank you! My trip next year will be that much better because of it ❤

Nara wasn't high on my (long) list of places to visit in Japan... I think that's changed now. Great video! 😁
