We don't have afternoon tea often, maybe for like an elderly relatives birthday or having a treat occasionally...I think more tourists have afternoon tea than the English.

You're obsessed with going up high, lol. Great tour of London though, I came here from Ireland at age 21 and went back home to Ireland after four years. However, I missed London so much I came back not long after - it just feels more like home. All the best things that ever happened to me happened in London. When I was a child, my aunt and uncle gave us some Christmas presents and one was a colourful picture book which showed Peter Pan and Wendy flying over the rooftops of Westminster. I developed a fascination with London from that moment on.

Believe it or not, but it doesn't actually rain as much in London as the myth says. New York and Paris have more rain. There are actually more sunny days than rainy days in London. It doesn't really get cold in winter either. You will be more hot in summer than cold in winter.
You went to some great places but shame you didn't go in any of London's great old pubs, only the modern bars. Can't beat the old cosy historical pubs in London like Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Cittie of Yorke, The Mitre etc. They have fires going in winter.
Laughing Gravy, by the way, is an old Laurel and Hardy film title. I guess that's the origin of that pub name.
Cheers. Hope you return. Best wishes 🥂

I have Subscribed and you are all welcome back to my Hometown anytime. I was born 71 years ago less than 1 mile from Waterloo Bridge and 2 miles from Central London and lived my first 29 stimulating years there. In 1983 I took the opportunity to buy this very house i The Outer London Suburbs just 12 miles away and absolutely loved the fact that I can "use" London and its Official "100,000 Places Of Interest" but, equally, get out in the Kent,Surrey and East and West Sussex Countryside in no time so 2 days ago I went to Football in London and will do so again tomorrow but then next week will go deep into the Countryside for an 8 mile walk. You will never see all of London in one lifetime.I tried and failed miserably.:face-green-smiling:
