  Unemployment is not down. Only on paper. So many Americans out of work a year or more. They are not counted as unemployed anymore. So unemployment seems to be low. Wages are not going up. Yes for higher wage jobs, but I received a .19 cent hour raise. No bonuses. Our hours just got cut, here at Lowe’s. People are going through 4,5 even 7 credit cards to pay, until one works. They are spending, but it’s all on credit. New cars, but so many really can’t afford them, and are late on payments.<br><br>The Goalposts keep moving.

  This is where preparedness becomes practical. When the cost of living keeps rising, creating financial margin matters just as much as having physical supplies.   Dont go in debt in college where upon you cant find employment with degree. Instead, learn a trade skill and get an apprenticeship.

  A lot of middle-class families say they&apos;re earning more than they did a few years ago—but somehow saving less. Which monthly expense has increased the most for you: housing, groceries, insurance, healthcare, or something else? How has it changed the way you budget?

  The four main problems is rent, taxes, insurance, and food. &nbsp;If people would just get what inflation calls for everybody would be fine. &nbsp;Inflation rate should be based on those four items. &nbsp;Pay each year should be a guaranteed increase based on the inflation rate.

  My husband died, I was left with 2 small children, food banks, the good will, camping vacations, rare eating out, sacrificed health care, insurance, no phones for my kids I had invested small amounts early to keep up with inflation, my parents had been frugal too, I went to college and had my own business, Im still exhausted, would not try it again in this economy

  I only get money through disability, so now I’m wondering if my income is lower than it should be. &nbsp;I just watched a video where weighed products are selling more than they are worth; overpriced by the system saying it weighs more than it actually weighs.
