  I remember when homes were affordable my first home was a one bedroom 1 bath I borrowed from my dad 1 thousand dollars to put in the bank I had a job finally got the house good started home that was 1976 in Los Angeles county Wilmington the home cost me 15000 no down G I &nbsp; later on I moved to central valley Turlock bought another home 2bed now I have a 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms stepping stones for better homes better than living &nbsp;in a car

  I completely disagree that working a minimum wage job could get you decent affordable housing and funds to live. This is a myth. Minimum wage jobs were a way for older retired Americans and Teenagers living at home could earn extra money for things like a used vehicle or clothes or whatever.
