If I’m being genuinely honest I think miku’s design was peak by accident
Like especially when you look at how convoluted Luka is shape wise, I feel like the artist was thinking more “oo pretty character” than “shape and design”
(That being said Luka has one of my favorite designs so I’m not attacking my queen let me make that clear)

The silhouette of KEI's 2007 Miku is so legendary time seemingly can't diminish it. Ferrari F40 of anime styled girls.

Hearing these descriptions definitely explains why Kasane Teto became the closest thing to Miku's equal. She's got distinct hair. But instead of long tubes it's two triangles

I think the great thing about Miku’s design is that it’s surprisingly versatile—obviously she looks like an anime idol girl, but the design can also work as a casual outfit or even a magical girl. And yes, I know that a lot of songs that depict Miku as a magical girl tend to give her a unique design based on existing magical girl designs, but even her default design has those magical girl traits.

Though did you REALLY have to call her “infamous” in the description? That acts like most people hate her when that’s clearly far from the case—she’s still used by many creators after over 15 years.

8:56 At launch, Luka was just as popular if not more popular than Miku, but she fell off really hard

I love how easy Miku is to draw, even my little brother can draw her. I think that helps.
