I guess you could argue she isn&apos;t a side character, she is a main character, but if we are lumping Chole in with the traveling companions... Dawn had her second look alike one episode before Chole did.

  A quick note about the “Play as Anime Serena” point<br><br>Instead of Short Hair with Bangs, Bob Hair with Bangs is more animation accurate. Serena’s hair actually grows back a bit compared to her XYZ design. So while in XY she has the Short hair, it’s grown to the Bob hair by the time she reappears in JN

  A little trivia about May.<br><br>The anime May is the second official character with that name. In the very first Pokémon manga published in English, May was the name of Gary&apos;s sister (the manga was officially licensed, so it must have gone through the approval process).

  Did you know <br>Ash was never originally meant to become the world&apos;s strongest Trainer. The original head writer, Takeshi Shudo, explained that Ash (Satoshi) was intentionally written as an ordinary kid who would always keep travelling, because the journey itself—not becoming unbeatable—was the heart of Pokémon. Shudo didn&apos;t want Ash to &quot;complete&quot; his dream, since that would mean his adventures were over. This philosophy is one reason Ash stayed 10 years old for so long and kept exploring new regions instead of settling down.

  Another fact about Mallow is that both of the Pokémon who stayed with her were somehow gifted by her deceased mother<br><br>Tsareena was catched &nbsp;by her mother as a Bounsweet just a few days before her death as a gift for Mallow<br><br>Shaymin shows up after the Tapu Fini mist when she reunited with her mother and when she departs Shaymin appears most likely as a gift

  Another interesting detail that people usually don&apos;t realize about Bonnie is that she seems to have cosplay as a hobby. She dresses as several different pokemon throught the entire XY/XYZ series. Including Snubble, Slowbro, Tyrantrum, Ludicolo, Delibird, Slurpuff and Ducklett,<br><br>She also dresses in a kimono, dresses like a ninja, as a dessert and as a Nurse Joy.
