Thank you for this. We are not Catholic but going to be taking the classes this September and I watched Wes’ video and it caused me to doubt everything. To the point that I was ready to just stay home and be affiliated with nothing, because who can you actually trust and believe. Thank you again for this.

How fast Sean turns around these videos is amazing! I don’t like the term “debunks” but he puts out EXCELLENT responses fast enough that the videos he’s responding to can’t root too deeply.

I watched his reasons, but they only made me question his reasoning.

I didn’t find them convincing, and I’m still on my way toward Rome.

Pray for my daily walk, I have to lead my family toward the truth, I can’t do this without my wife, but I have to show her my heart change before she will accept anything from me.

As a former protestant, who was in seminary holding the same views as Wes when it came to the actual facts of being a church historian and not just ignoring what I didn’t want to read, but reading all the church history as a whole and seen the commonality of everyone holding to the ancient Catholic type of teachings I had to be honest with myself and follow the truth rather than what I was taught. It’s not easy to unlearn lies that you held for so long by people you knew in your life and even owning that you were wrong it’s not easy to do. Being Catholic has led me so much deeper into my relationship with Christ and his church. The Bible as a whole connects so well when the scales fall off your eyes, and you can see the ancient teachings in the writings just as Jesus taught himself in the scriptures to the disciples after his resurrection.

Huff’s claim on continuity is wild. After 1000 years of separation Catholic and Orthodox are more theologically similar to each other and the early Church, than two Lutheran churches in the same town are to each other.

It's not a burden. It's not by ourselves. It's through the Holy Spirit, mentors, elders and our study that shows us approved.

Nice job , brother ! Life long Protestant here in the process of converting to Catholicism after about 2 years of deep diving into church history, early church fathers, Biblical typology and lots of prayer.

Sean, thank you for your presentation. Well done, as always.

Wes Huff has become a new voice in Protestantism. I think the insidious part of his presentation is that he presents himself as a scholar, which he is, that has studied all of these things anew. Now according to his “authority”, he is declaring the truth of protestant theology for everyone. He has settled the matter for everyone, but only ends up making the same tired arguments that have been made for generations.
