  Long story short: If an average guy wants an actual girlfriend, he&apos;s going to have to date down 2-3 points. So, a guy that looks like a 5 or a 6 is going to have to settle for a girl that looks like a 3. <br>I have seen average looking guys with average looking girlfriends. But, they tolerate a lot of abuse.

  I was &quot;done chasing&quot; by age 35 for me. I was always a social outcast, so I knew the odds were against me since high school. I did very little dating, and I always felt like I really had to do a lot of work to keep the woman interested, so it was always a feeling of , am I entertaining enough, am I doing enough to make her want to stick around? My last relationship, which did not last long ended when I was 35. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp;I went on a solo road trip after the break up. In the back of my mind, I had the question, Should I keep trying to date (which I was never any good at, just mediocre) or should I stop chasing women? I came to the conclusion that I was too inexperienced, &nbsp; and too emotionally immature for dating. I was too far behind my peers in relationship experience, plus I was getting older, less energy for social drama. <br>So, I did what I should have done years prior. I stopped chasing.<br>I stopped chasing women ( if I meet one great, but I never lose sleep over being single)<br>I stopped chasing social approval. &nbsp;I have no need or desire for popularity<br>I stopped keeping up with the Jonses. I do not need much to be content in life.<br>I stopped chasing the &quot;fear of missing out&quot; I am now a middle aged man in my 40s. I am content with a less exciting life. I did traveling and rock concerts when I was younger, that is less important now
