  Just a small warning for if/when you watch the cinematics: The one for Cassidy and Ashe, called “Reunion” refers to Cassidy as “McCree”. This is because that was his name at the beginning of the game before they changed it.<br><br>Apparently he was named after someone who worked at Blizzard at the time, named Jesse McCree. After a few years, it turned out that man was a huge creep (to put it lightly), and so Team 4 (the subsection of Blizzard that works on Overwatch specifically) pushed to have his name changed, and now he’s Cole Cassidy.

  So to make Junkrat, Hog, and Queen&apos;s story clearer:<br><br>Right at the end of the Omnic Crisis, Australia was going to give away a large part of the outback to the Omnics, as part of a peace deal. I say &apos;peace deal&apos;, but what it really was, was they were basically giving the omnics an ethnostate, because they considered them a problem people (omnics had just recently been promoted from mindless slave to second-class citizen).<br><br>Problem was that people still lived on that land, and they weren&apos;t very pleased from being displaced from their homes. They formed the Australian Liberation Front. Roadhog was a member, as was Junker Queen&apos;s parents. They called themselves rebels, others called them terrorists.<br><br>Their last notable activity was the explosion of the Omnium (a massive factory used to build Omnics during the war). It irradiated the land, causing the inhabitants to become ill with radiation poisoning, and the radiation turned any omnics into &apos;Zomnics&apos;. Yes, zombie omnics. At the time, Junkrat would&apos;ve been two years old, and Queen would&apos;ve been a young child, possibly 13.<br><br>Junkertown is built on the ruins of the omnium. This is very apparent on the edges of the New Junk City map. Roadhog dislikes the place. It wasn&apos;t what he fought for. He thinks any violence he brings upon the world is deserved for the suffering and apathy it showed for him and the people of the Australian outback

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53FuWHbajXM&amp;t=350">5:50</a> Fun fact, the band who did the song for JQ&apos;s story are an Australian pub rock group called &quot;Amyl and the Sniffers&quot;. most of their music sounds very similar to what&apos;s in the origin story, so if that&apos;s your cup of tea check them out! I saw them live back in January and it was a top 3 concert experience for me

Blizzard has plenty of those plushies :p Also dunno if you&apos;ve noticed, but they always add Pachimari player icons and weapon charms every season in OW2

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53FuWHbajXM&amp;t=335">5:35</a> The in-game voice lines aren&apos;t canon to the story so Ana and Soldier are still believed to be dead (Phara knows about her mother).<br>Only them knows the other is alive. Right now Soldier is working with sombra and illari, there&apos;s short stories about them.

  You really need to watch the rest of the cinematics to get additional lore. Maybe the comics and the light novels are a bit much to ask but the cinematics, are gold in every aspect, I&apos;m sure you&apos;ll love Kiriko&apos;s and Sombra&apos;s

  I <i>just</i> finished doing this for the other video, but, here to do it on this one too!<br><br>Junkrat/Roadhog: This short doesn&apos;t actually say much about their origins, but I already see another comment has given insight to it much better than I can, so there&apos;s that! It should be noted though, Roadhog isn&apos;t actually Australian, he&apos;s from New Zealand, and was employed as part of a Militia to fight the omnics as well as the Australian Liberation Front, before becoming Junkrat&apos;s bodyguard after the Omnium was blown up and the outback was turned to a wasteland (Which he probably only does because Junkrat pays him well)<br><br>Soldier: The only agents that have a fake death experience are Ana, Jack (Soldier), and Gabriel (Reaper) as far as I&apos;m aware. Jack and Gabriel were caught in an explosion in the Swiss Overwatch HQ, and both were to be presumed dead as a result. Jack went under the radar, as the vigilante Soldier: 76, searching for answers of what really happened, and Gabe, well, was &quot;revived&quot; by Moira and joined Talon. The short story &quot;Futures Past&quot; that released for pride month this month actually goes into further context on what happened, as well as the two short stories &quot;Lost Ghosts&quot; and &quot;Lucky Man&quot;, which both delve even further into what Soldier is hunting for (If you want an order, go Lucky Man &gt; Lost Ghosts &gt; Futures Past) He actually isn&apos;t part of Overwatch anymore, he&apos;s still a vigilante searching for his own answers. To be honest, I barely cared about him before, but with the recent developments of his character, he&apos;s one of the ones I&apos;m most interested in now, it&apos;s great<br><br>Junker Queen: The lyrics are telling her story, but it&apos;s very much in a fantastical &quot;Legend&quot;/&quot;Folktale&quot; way. She&apos;s the Junker Queen, she&apos;s great and mighty, and so she gets a legend like any great ruler would! Her cinematic goes deeper into her <i>actual</i> backstory, but the other comment talking about The Outback&apos;s backstory goes into it a bit as well!<br><br>Mauga: Mauga is, in fact, part of the evil guys (Talon). I think it&apos;s notable that Mauga is <b>not</b> a big idiot like his frontward personality makes him seem, that&apos;s a purposeful mask that he plays to make himself seem friendly. If anything, he&apos;s a conniving psychopath, who does what he does because he enjoys it. Unfortunately for you, there&apos;s no way in hell that he&apos;s joining Overwatch<br><br>Tracer: This story is basically what I explained in my other comment, so there&apos;s that! I wouldn&apos;t bet on understanding Overwatch&apos;s science since, well, fantasy science is basically just magic lol<br><br>Very happy to see that you enjoyed all of them though! Sigma&apos;s is definitely the best out of all of them, it&apos;s just so well-made, genuine masterpiece. Very excited to see the reactions to the Cinematics eventually as well, though!

  Well, after 8 years of Overwatch I needed Kit&apos;s video to learn that Tracer had been stuck in time and saved by Winston. Thank you Queen
