Let's go! Halloween is an all-time classic for the season. Michael Myers is legendary. Y'all should definitely continue the series.

Y'all watched the remake of "The Thing" from 1981 which was also done by John Carpenter after he did "Halloween".  The first version of The Thing came out in 1951.  That's what Lindsay was watching.  Side note: For a longtime Halloween held the record for the most successful independent film ever made.  It only cost $300,000 to make and pulled in $70M at the box office.  In 2025 dollars that's like $1.5M to make and $140M at the box office.  That's why there were so many slasher movies made afterwards in the 1980's, like "Friday the 13th" and "Nightmare on Elm Street". They all wanted to make that Halloween money!  Last thing, you mentioned in "Scream" they went over the rules of horror movies.  If you remember they were actually watching "Halloween" when he paused the movie and went over the rules.  Halloween actually established the "rules" of surviving a horror film.  Most of the slasher movies of the 80's followed the rules.  Although "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974) kind of already had the rules in place for the "final girl" who usually survives until the end.

"I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up, because I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... evil." I love Michael Myers my favorite Horror movie character

I would definitely check out Halloween II (1981) because it follows on from the ending of this

I love how he got so excited every time he caught on to a Scream reference 😂 in Scream they’re literally watching Halloween at the party and Scream was literally pointing out the troupes of the slasher movies that predated it
