Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It is a lot of a task to carry all that gear and the camera equipment. Plus you have to go back and forth to get some good shots as you leave or approach certain areas after placing the camera and then pick it up. Definitely about 40 lbs is a very heavy load. I have done it with 40+ lbs of load on a backpacking trip and my knees did not like it at all🥹At least you are much younger. Good job and keep doing what you enjoy! Just one suggestion: I lthink that a fully freestanding tent would be a better choice for you as you could have moved it to the better location once you discovered them. I know how tempting it is not to take down the tent and re-pitch it. Anyhow I enjoyed your trip👍
