  The fact that her 13 year old knew that he would have to put her food aside for his own mother to be able to eat makes things pretty clear. this has been an issue for far longer than the OP made it seem like and even her teen kid picked up on it and tried to ensure it wouldn&apos;t happen. &nbsp;To the point where he felt he had to apologize for not watching the plate constantly when the MIL stole her food. (I&apos;m not blaming the kid for assuming that plated food would be treated as taken since that is a general rule most decent humans follow) <br><br>I really hope that if the husband and MIL come back and don&apos;t fix their behavior, then the kid learns to hide the plate in a place they&apos;d never think to look. He shouldn&apos;t have to do that at all btw

  I think the one with the woman ordering take out it goes deeper than &quot;she&apos;s just lazy&quot;. For starters she clearly has an addiction because you don&apos;t go as far as getting a payday loan for take outs when you already have food at home. She needs therapy asap, there&apos;s something really wrong with her and I mean this in the nicest way possible.

  As someone who got married with a buffet last year, you HAVE to take into account how much your family eats. He is so not wrong for ordering pizza. But if I had seen it, I would have gone over, asked what happened then said “I am sooooo sorry that you guys didn’t get anything! How much did you pay for the pizza?” Then I would have reimbursed them and apologized again. But I’m a decent human being who knows better.

  Nah, never tell him you were cooking the food, put the money in a secret account, use it to get tf out. Don&apos;t tell him, even though you would <i>love</i> to drop that bombshell because it <i>would</i> feel great, but that might cause complications during the divorce.

  I&apos;m also pretty bad about ordering take out more than I should, even when I have freezer meals in the freezer, BUT I&apos;m spending no one&apos;s money but my own. I earned it, I spend it. Taking out a LOAN to get fast food when you have food sitting in the freezer is an addiction and a huge red flag, especially given the way she handled it all.

  The wife ordering takeout is so in the wrong. &nbsp;I have a severe back injury and got laid off 2 years ago. &nbsp;I can work but it has to be a wfh job or a desk job that allows me to stand and sit (i get horrible leg cramps from bulging discs and cant sit or stand very long) &nbsp; i have had trouble finding work (its also this economy) so we are living off my husbands salary. &nbsp;I immediately took my &quot;fun&quot; spending (extras, takeout, etc..) to almost $0. &nbsp;I felt bad i wasnt contributing. &nbsp;I do the majority of the chores (cooking, dishes, laundry, etc) because i still want to contribute. &nbsp;<br><br>A loan to get takeout??? &nbsp;Wild. &nbsp;She needs help and i dont blame him for divorcing her.
