The owner is a real sweetheart. I visited in June 2023. When he realized I was heavily pregnant, he gave me a free bowl of some potato soup, saying I should eat well because I was pregnant. I never forgot his kindness because I was craving my mum's homecooked food and it tasted like something my mum would have made 😊

I absolutely love this Arabic style of eating Sri Lankan food. Arabic eating tradition gives no prominence to the use of individual plates. This gentleman mixes hoppers, string hoppers and pittu with curries and sambols with real pleasure and enthusiasm. Mixing hoppers with coconut milk is wonderful, we can learn something from that. This style of eating SL food is different though it is beautiful. Many European people who love SL food don't really know how to eat with real passion because they are heavily handicapped with western folk and spoon style eating and don't know how to use hands to eat. But this gentleman uses hands really well and bring real enjoyment to it by using some brilliant Arabic ways of eating. 👍
