I am so impressed with this, the story of an extraordinary woman who ruled the greatest empire in the world at that time. It is time that the truth of her legacy be told, and very encouraging for women everywhere.

But was she really anymore ruthless than many of the male emperors were? Why should we judge her by a different standard?

Her Imperial Majesty Empress Wu Zetain was a great and remarkable woman because during her reign she built impressive pieces of architecture and respected the religion of Buddhism, kept the population with good amount of food and also made her empire wealthy.

I thought it was going to be Cleopatra or one of the more widely well known women rulers... I’m surprised I’ve never heard her story! Great gem of a documentary!

Remember, in almost every story, someone has to be the villian.
