  The Boat Friends Live Cam is about to completely change the way people experience Duluth. There are cameras that show ships passing under the bridge and other places on the water, but what about everything that happens after they’re gone? That’s where this camera comes in. It’s going to capture the heart of Canal Park, the energy, the people, and the excitement that everyone else is missing most of the time. We’ll be just steps from the bridge, watching ships come and go, while also showing all the life that happens around the Maritime Museum, Grandma’s, Little Angie’s, and the Lakewalk.<br><br>Imagine being able to pan the camera all around and zoom in on someone feeding the birds below, or watching the crowd gather when a big ship sounds its horn. You’ll see families strolling by, friends meeting for lunch in Canal Park, people shopping at the Canal Park stores, people walking the Lakewalk, sunsets lighting up the lake, snowstorms rolling in, and of course, every ship that passes through. This is going to be Duluth’s true tourism camera, the one that finally shows the full picture of the most loved spot in the city. It’s hard to believe this hasn’t existed until now.<br><br>What makes it even more special is the community behind it. The Boat Friends are all about kindness, positivity, and connection. There won’t be moderators cutting off conversation or telling people what they can’t say. If you want to talk about a recipe, go for it. Planning a trip to Duluth? Perfect. Want to talk about the Fitzgerald or your favorite ships? This is the kind of things that friends talk about together. You’re in the right place. This is a space where everyone is welcome, where you can stop in anytime, day or night, and feel like you’re surrounded by friends.<br><br>This is something the city of Duluth can be proud of, a live and living window into Canal Park that runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty-five days a year. We will follow every ship that arrives and depart under the Lift Bridge too. It’s not just a camera, it’s an experience. A celebration of ships, people, and the city we all love. And it’s only just beginning. More cameras coming.
