  Its so crazy to me that they say &quot;well realistically El would never get to live a normal life so she has to go away and die&quot; when Nancy and Hopper, two people who killed multiple American soldiers, are able to live a totally normal life

  also, whilst we&apos;re on the topic, hopper losing his second daughter after just managing to scrape together enough will to live himself should have BROKEN him. everything about his character suggests that should have utterly ruined him for good. and yet, quick cut and suddenly &quot;you have to choose to move on, mike. i&apos;ve been down the other path&quot;. like losing one child makes the second easier? trauma compounds!!!

  Eleven’s ending ruined the show for me. In every season it’s emphasized that Eleven just wants to heal from her trauma and live a normal life. Hopper even gave a whole monologue in the finale about all the trauma she’s been through and that she deserves to grow old and have kids.. just for her to take her own life in the end. It felt like a slap in the face. Like I don’t understand why the writers had Eleven explore her humanity and realize that she’s more than her powers just to have her sacrifice herself for the greater good anyway

  They did Eleven so dirty. They assassinated her entire arc, which was focused on finding friends and family after suffering from trauma, as well as moving on. Whether she survives or not, she loses everything she gained.<br><br>(edit) To people saying that her arc was that &quot;she finally was able to make her own choice,&quot; No. A 16-year-old girl should never have to make that kind of choice. Not to mention, the military was shown to have been chasing her in Hawkins for a good 18 months and was unable to find her. the military was not presented as a strong enough threat for them to justify having that ending for her character. If they had built up the threat and made the military compelling, maybe it would be different, but they wasted that entire plotline and Linda Hamilton just to get an undeserved &quot;death.&quot; Weak writing all around when it comes to El this season.

  The Duffers are OBSESSED with sacrificial deaths. Poor Hopper has been trying to off himself nearly every season. El’s is so forced. And I hate the feeling of it all. “Thanks to her killing herself, everything is better! She was truly the source of everyone’s problems. :)”

  They lost track of what made the show great: The characters and the friendships. This season was all spectacle at the expense of plot, character, and basic story logic.

  the duffers are just so overhyped. every single fan theory i came across <b>made sense</b> even on a deeper level. how stupid are we to think that the duffers are smart enough to write and finish a compelling story.

  Does the town know Eddie was innocent then? As it is, they thought he was a serial killer so it&apos;s odd and in poor taste they would all applaud Dustin wearing a Hellfire Lives t-shirt.

  I hated how the final battle was 6 mins and the epilogue was 45m. It made me very bitter watching the epilogue. Like I really did not care much about anything happening, because of how easy they beat the main threat for all these seasons.

  Lowkey mad we sat through 5 seasons just to repeat the end of S1. They really had no plans beyond the first season and it shows

  My biggest issue with the finale is Eleven&apos;s fate. The Duffers clearly wanted to repeat her sacrifice in season 1, but they failed to understand why the sacrifice works in season 1, and why it feels so forced and inorganic in season 5.
