So when someone says "anong kabalbalan iyan", it's basically "What the hell"?

Dati nung bata ako ramdam ko yung kakaibang atmosphere kapag Mahal na Araw, dahil mostly pangCatholic ang palabas sa TV 😄 tyaka parang ang tahimik. pero ngayon di ko na nararamdaman yung parang eerie feeling although alam ko naman na the tradition is still ongoing in different places.

I'm excited for those next videos on how our old indigenous and other old religious traditions and so on survived through history. I remember when I was studying history in university and one of the lessons that stuck with me are the ones where we pull back the layers on our practices.

5:43 I was born in the US, but I grew up hearing stories about the mystical creatures that lived in my mom’s island, Siquijor. Not just the creatures, but our family’s own encounters with them, specifically the duende. When I went to the Philippines in the 90s I was shocked to see a duende with my own eyes. 👀
