  Do you all remember the smell of your lunchbox? It was a certain scent it had from the mixture of the lunchbox, the sandwich, and all of your other snacks mixed inside. It's a very comforting nostalgic scent.

  I was 11 years old 40 years ago, and I definitely remember everything you mentioned from back then. It was definitely a simpler time.

  I'm 61 and well remember how it was back then (40 years ago I was 21!), but I am very glad to have my smartphone for when I can't quite remember something. However, back when I was in HS in the 70s I'm glad we didn't have them, or social media. I had to go through enough crap at school. Imagine having to try and go online and have those jerks continue to bully me there as well? Noooo, thank you.

  I'm 46 and i LONG for the days before cell phones and internet. We had SO much fun as kids in the 80's without these time wasters. 25 years ago when i would go to the park to play tennis or basketball, you couldn't find an empty tennis or basketball court. Now the courts are all empty because kids just play video games and tik tok on their phones. It's very sad.

  Back in my day, dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings were rebellious and meant you might not be able to find a job.  Now they're fashionable and trendy.  Great video!  Thanks for the memories!

  Another fun and enjoyable video, Rhett. With each one you take me back in time. Forty years ago we had our second child and we moved to Germany with the Army. How I wish we had had face time back then, phone calls to the states was very expensive. My mother would call us once a month, we couldn't afford to call her. So many things I am glad for but I really do miss the simpler times.

  I remember 8 tracks and boom boxes. It's hard to believe that we survived very nicely without all the technology of today 😊

  The hair color thing. Cyndi Lauper really brought that look into the mainstream. She's rocking colored hair on the cover of her first album, and I remember seeing tons of women during the 80's with colored hair, though it was more often than not just a streak or two instead of the entire head of hair colored. True, for guys, it was still seen as a punk rock kind of thing, but for women, it was more common.
