  My Husky 266SE I got it in 1986.<br>Had it rebuilt once. &nbsp;Starts on the fourth pull every spring.<br>28&quot; inch bar. &nbsp;I&apos;ve never wore them out. &nbsp;They took hits from trees falling on them and one got ran over more than once.<br>Great saw!

  I have a Jonsered 455 that I bought new in 1988. I have cut all my firewood every year plus MUCH more cutting. &nbsp;It still starts and runs exactly like it did new.

  I can vouch for the Stihl 026 being a workhorse. &nbsp;I had two. &nbsp;Sold the one I hardly used and kept the one that I ran for years. &nbsp;It&apos;s still in great condition.

  Bought my 026 brand new 36yrs ago, 9 cords of wood yearly and it just runs so good. Yup not the biggest &nbsp;saw, but dam probably the best reliable saw around.

  044, 046, 084, 088 stihl are excellent saws. The key is maintenance, eg. clean your air filter after every tank of fuel. Ideally you will need two air filters, interchange with clean filter after each tank. A well maintained super sharp stihl chain saw will cut one thousand ton of firewood per year, regards from Australia.

  I have a 35 year old Stihl 028 wood boss still runs perfectly. Hefty maybe like a tank!

  Allmost any Stihl from the 80s and 90s is just outstanding. &nbsp;One of the 3 &nbsp;034 av &nbsp;i own was my dads . He cut countless cords of firewood from around 1986-88? Untill 2020. &nbsp;And i still use it today . Its been freshend up 1 time . Its beat up and looks like its cut thousands of cords of wood. Because it has.

  Jonseered 2040 made in 1996 and in 2026 I broke the choke pull. And now it’s become a nightmare to start. Even reps shop can’t get a replacement. <br>But if it gets going she goes hard.<br>My go to is the 026 stihl. Just a good size all round. Then my 660 is just so fun. Just rips through anything.

  I love the 026 even with a 16 in bar I have cut logs with a 36 DBH. It&apos;s fast and perfect for normal size logs for firewood. Even dropped a tree 48 with a 18 in bar. Prefer not to. But over all in Ontario the 026 takes a kicking and I can cut anything with it.
