Ssendi asked why it was common for male musicians to compose and sing women lyrics. The simple explanation that women were traditionary thought to be the ones who would easily express their emotions . What most Ugandans did/do not know is that most of the most popular songs from Zaire/ Congo were about a woman expressing her love or disappointment for her man . Example is "Mario" which was a top dance hit everywhere -this was a wife complaining about her husband -Mario .<br>Interestingly , Hadija Namale , who started her singing in Zaire , sung songs like "Namuli" - which was about a man missing his lover .
