I felt so bad for her son who tried to speak before his mother's killer's sentencing. I had the impression that he couldn't get the words out without crying. I pray God heals that family ❤

I'm so impressed with the kids who grew up with people thinking their father was their mother's killer and still turned out fine and close knit. Exceptional upbringing I'd say.

I've seen multiple BTK documentaries over the years, but wow this one really highlights the trauma he inflicted to the families of his victims. It makes you truly realise the magnitude of his crimes.

I grew up in Wichita, during this era.
It is hard to convey the high level of Pure FEAR women felt. This documentary didn't mention how he would stake out a woman's house, cut the phone line, and hide inside waiting for her to return home. That became a routine for Wichita / Wichita area women coming home--immediately to go telephone, pick it up and listen for dial tone. It was such an automatic routine--unlock door, walk to phone, listen for dial tone.
This was before cell phones.
This monster terrorized the entire city.
So glad he is in prison for the rest of his worthless life. My only regret is the death penalty wasn't available then. If ever a man deserves the DP--it's this guy. I won't even write his name because I refuse to acknowledge him.

Steve's pain is palpable. My heart BLEEDS for this broken man. He can never unsee what he saw that day at the tender age of six. I hope he can find peace, one day. It is not your fault, Steve. Stop torturing yourself. Even if you hadn't opened the door, BTK still would have found a way in. YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME.

Steven’s story has always been one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever heard. I saw a different interview and this poor man was completely devastated and he shoulders all the blame because he opened the door.

Just knowing that it’s 100% not his fault and still knowing that if it was me, I would feel the same guilt. It’s a life sentence of heartache when he has committed no crime.

Lie detectors have a horrible record.
They don't detect lies, they detect stress.
And it's normal to be stressed when you are under suspicion.

When I was 21, my best friend and I left Seattle to visit a friend in Witchita. We drove across country much to our parents' dismay. It was 1979. We had no clue there was a serial killer terrorizing Witchita. We didn't have 24/7 news back then. At the age of 21, we didn't watch the news anyway. Apparently, our parents didn't know either. It's kind of creepy looking back. Radar is a monster. I feel so sorry for this sweet family.

These convicted serial murderers should not be permitted to correspond with anyone but their attorneys. They should not be allowed access to phones unless it’s to converse with their counsel. They should not be permitted TV or access to computers either.

It's dangerous when they keep calling polygraphs "lie detectors". It leads to misconceptions.
