  Ex RCN submariner here. Early 70,s enroute to Alaska submerged one evening we picked up something,  you could hear wire cable dragging along the hill. Upon surfacing next am were visible scratch marks where it had contact. We assumed it was fishing gear. Never heard anything more about it.

  My old man was on a ssbn outta Holy Loch in the 70s and he told me a story about getting into a trawler’s net. Could you imagine being on one of those trawler’s!!!!!??????? I’d shi* my pants

  It did happen in 1984 and 2003. In 1984, the fishing boat managed to force the submarine up to the surface, and that submarine was from Soviet.

  I remember a number of years back, a Japanese vessel with many young people was  hit by a us submarine in the Pacific

  I&apos;ve recently been talking to an ex RN Submarina.<br> &nbsp; He told me that they dragged a fishing boat down, drowning all on board.....

  Summer 82. My first time working on a trawler out of Howth. The Ashby. The Sheralga was all the talk at the time.

  I remember this as a young kid, im 57 now. All i could think of was the bit in Jaws where after harpooning it it dragged the boat backwards. 😂
