Be wary of a disrespectful, immature adult child- they are unhappy in the life they’ve created for themselves and need someone to blame- especially if you’ve always been loving, supportive and forgiving. It’s the curse of an overly loving parent- and a reminder of our failure to set appropriate boundaries.

My 52 yr old son only calls when he needs to borrow money. And my youngest son, he has a tough like a razor! I am learning to keep my distance and stop giving my money away!

Bottom line: Do not be afraid to Lose them! That is what makes all parents accept bad behavior. And the kids use that against you! The moment you show them that you have no fear, that you respect yourself - then things change.

I will use this advice in my own personal life situation. I am 66yrs old and recently retired nurse. My daughter, only child is very disrespectful to me and takes me for granted. I am always putting her and her two children first, but they don’t appreciate me at all. <br>This video has very important advice for me to make a change.

Haven't talked to my oldest daughter in about 4 yrs, I don't know if she is coming back or not, but it sure is peaceful without her negativity

We adopted my sister’s daughter at 3 yrs,old my sister was killed.Now Chantal is 38,she has a family.She was a darling until she left home to do her thing.When she left home she was very distant,very seldom calls.I must admit that I was brokenhearted and wondered what we did wrong.Now over 20 years later it’s still the same.I can sense the rift,I have my faith in God that I has helped me!These days it’s common!
