  Brazilian buses are excellent. But this one isn't the luxury version; luxury is the sleeper cab. This is the medium version.   I don't think you'll do it, but if you have the desire and a lot of stamina, the longest bus trip in the world is the Rio de Janeiro - Lima (capital of Peru) route. The scenery is beautiful.  I don't know if it still exists, but the trip from Rio de Janeiro to Santiago (capital of Chile) is another very long journey, and the Andean landscape is beautiful and unforgettable. I only recommend both trips if the person is very fit because they are exhausting. They take days on the bus.

  Just to point this out to foreigners, the Tietê Bus station (second biggest in the world btw), is also directly connected to the São Paulo metro network, more specifically Line 1-Blue; Portuguesa-Tietê station. Since both of São Paulo's airports are directly connected to the city's rail network, you can access the bus station quite easily from either the airports or anywhere else in the city that is connected to public transit

  As a Brazilian, I have to say that I’ve seen dozens of reviews of coach journeys around the country and this is by far the best I’ve ever seen – much better than those by local travellers. <br>You haven’t left out a single piece of useful information – bus stations, timetable, prices, seats, journeys, comfort – absolutely brilliant. <br>Just a quick tip for travellers: the Novo Rio bus station is notoriously substandard. And Rio’s city centre is more dangerous and more impersonal than in other cities, so do be careful or avoid the downtown area.

  Fellow, take the bus from Porto Alegre (south) to Fortaleza (northeast). About 4 days of travel. You will know three different countries in the same country and you´ll have a good history to tell to your grandsons...

  Great trip. Finally you do this bus trip in Brazil. Well, beside European, Brazil is also inspiring some of bus model in my country. Even some of European Bus Brand who sold it chassis in my country always choosing to import from Brazil rather than their home country (only for some specific product) due to identical road geography. Ah yes, Quad Axle Bus, something hard to come in my country due to regulations of maximum dimensions. Since it&apos;s day trip, well yeah the seat is okay and not expecting much.

  Well São Paulo is for shopping - many, many things that you can&apos;t find anywhere in Europe (including foods), and those that you CAN find &nbsp;are much much cheaper anyway, so you don&apos;t need to take anything with you except the bare minimum of clothing.<br>I went all over São Paulo from one shopping centre to another on numerous local city buses, &nbsp;with day passes, and visited one or two nice suburbs as well for some delicious food.
