Also his channel also has some really cool DJ sets.

  The Smiths were a glitch in the matrix, an anomaly, a meteor impacting British pop in the mid 80&apos;s. They, influenced countless bands, but no one quite like them, before or after.

  I hope this gig is up here for a long time.Andy Rourkes bass playing is superb what a talent he was, &nbsp;a quiet unassuming humble guy. &nbsp;I with many millions more loved The Smiths and was lucky to see them live in 85.

  God I wish I was a teen in these days. I&apos;d be up on that stage living my life to the absolute fullest. I love The Smiths.

I lost My husband in August of 2004, but this song will let Me hold onto a piece of him foreverMORR...

  Almost 2 months before the debut album was released. What a great performance, Morrissey&apos;s voice is strong. Fanatical fans already in the crowd...thats impressive.

  I HATED The Smiths when I was a teenager (late 80s) I was all about The Roses and Madchester, yet their music is part of the soundtrack of my life. It was always there at the school discos and on the radio, etc, but I always found them to be depressing and weird. I loved happy, upbeat 80s pop and melodic, singalong rock. Oasis were my heaven when they came along. Oh, how I sang to their tunes on a walk home from a bender, happy in the haze of a drunken hour!! Now, I&apos;m 49 and trying to piece together all the music that has featured in my life and I realised that they are there somewhere in my background and my subconscious. So, I decided to revisit them and find out which songs it was that featured vaguely back then. I started with &apos;This Charming Man&apos;, then realised that &apos;Heaven knows&apos; is in there too and &apos;There is a light&apos; and I realised that their music was somehow a part of my story. The more I listened the more I realised that their music has this incredible ability to get stuck in your head and body for weeks at a time. After several months of listening to different songs I now confess to be a Smiths fan. I NEVER thought that could happen, but it has and I now deeply love their music (mostly the early stuff, which is in this video) They were making amazing music which is decades ahead of its time and could even be rightly called timeless. In the UK at that time, Morriseys behaviour went COMPLETELY against the grain. I look at how he moves, what he wears and the lyrics he so confidently sings and I cannot be anything but impressed by his bravery. He took a big risk behaving this way. He would have put a target on his head for homophobic alpha males who would go to places like this and get very angry at his rejection of the social norms of the time and place. My tribute to the genius of The Smiths is that I am a 100% hetro male and yet my favourite Smiths song is &apos;What difference does it make&apos; A truly amazing tune with incedible lyrics. The absolute wisdom and beauty of the line &apos;heavy words are so lightly thrown&apos; has me on the verge of tears every time I hear it. That line in itself sets them apart from all others and it is just one among many classic lines to be found in this treasure trove of a moment in time where this band managed to excel in everything they did. Like so many others I thank the person who posted this from the bottom of my heart and I thank The Smiths for creating some of the most challenging, thought provoking, emotional, intelligent art I have ever experienced. Truly a mind blowing experince to get to know the magnitude of the talent and ability of this band.
