I met Morrissey in a pub in Los Angeles, he was very nice and affable. After having the conversation he thanked me for not being one his overzealous fans.

As someone who was a 17 year old in the north west of england when this track came out Morrissey was damn right that he spoke for many who didn't have a voice and couldn't find that voice in other artistic mediums. My journey into adulthood was massively influenced by his lyrics and Marr's music and I love the fact that so many young people are into them today.

People love and adore Morrissey so much, he says things and gives a wry smile with the intent to give the viewer to work out if he’s being serious or not. He’s an interesting character and personality and thats why he’s adored by so many.
