  I love buying notebooks, but I barely write in them, so I have the exact opposite problem to "wasted pages". If anything, this has shown me that the only wasted pages are the ones I don't write in at all.

  Ohhh this title just yanked me straight back to the moment I realized my pocket notebook had basically become my emotional support sidekick—like I’ll be in the grocery store reaching for bananas when suddenly my brain whispers, “Luise… write down that idea about reorganizing your entire life,” and there I am, scribbling between the apples like a woman possessed; and the funniest part is how this tiny notebook has saved me from absolute chaos more times than I can count—random thoughts, half‑baked dreams, grocery lists, existential crises, all crammed together like roommates who didn’t choose each other, and yet somehow after a year it feels like this living archive of my brain trying its best; and honestly I’ll never stop carrying it because every time I flip through those messy pages I’m reminded that my ideas don’t need to be perfect to matter—they just need a place to land before they evaporate into the void like they always used to.

  We've lived thousands of years without smart phones. Why are we so attached to them now? We think we need them, but we're smarter and more resourceful than we let ourselves be because of them. I use pocket notebooks and a dumb phone and I feel like I'm living in a different reality from the rest of the world sometimes.

  I am a writer, a full time doctor, and a mother, so I have a busy schedule, and I started this a few months ago, and i did notice that almost every thought or idea came to live even when i dont re-read what i have written, and I know that becuase each time i review my notebook i cross off things that are already done. so not only it made me more creative, but it also kept my memory sharp to pull out those ideas when i want to. I would never go back to not carrying one.

  It’s easier to carry a small slim notebook with a soft cover, but I realized a more firm cover helps me to jot things down while I’m standing.  I did have to get over “wasting” pages with silly stuff in a pricier notebook (even grocery lists go in ), but it’s worth it for the occasional gem.

  This is actually perfect for someone like me who have like 3000+ random screenshots and saved stuff in the gallery, I really needed storage space but found it tedious to sit down and delete the unnecessary stuff and put extra time to decide whether I should keep a particular ss or not. This idea, rarely enough, caught my eye! and since I have a holiday tomorrow, I might go thru the ss folder and jot down the stuff that I do need for later, and keep those which can't be visually transferred!! wish me luck 😭😭
