I have piloted this plane 7 times at Southwest. The first couple times I flew it I didn鈥檛 know the plane鈥檚 history until I had ground crew come onboard to take pictures with the aircraft and informed me of the planes history.

The fact that the plane later still got airborne from that grass levy after that accident not forgetting it had already started to sink, it's amazing luck馃槏

this is a really incredible example of amazing airmanship that seems to be forgotten sometimes. The crew did an absolutely amazing job of remaining calm and doing the number one task of being a pilot: just flying the goddamn plane.

I think this pilot didn鈥檛 get the recognition he deserved for what he pulled off. A dual engine failure in bad weather, and he pulled off a slide slip maneuver to land on a levee and didn鈥檛 even damage the plane. To say this was INCREDIBLE is a big understatement!
