Just wanted to stop by and give you your flowers before the end of International Women’s Month. Last year my job relocated me to a different country. So there I was, new to a foreign country, didn’t know anyone or speak the language. I ate dinner alone in my apartment each evening. The only company I had was you. I looked forward to the next chapter each evening. Weekends sucked a little when you didn’t post. Never underestimate how much your work means to so many. My social life is on and popping now! But I clearly remember the times when you were the only company I had.

Motown books are always so good!!! Families back in those days didn’t know anything about birth control back then so it was nothing for them to create these very large families. Flo and Mary were definitely the nucleus of the Supremes.

I get what you're saying about Berry Gordy choosing Diana Ross over Flo as lead singer. Berry had aspirations of the Supremes crossing over so he felt Flo voice was too powerful. Great assessment Nay.

Midwest had all those music programs that produced a lot of talent.
Ohio Players, Zapp, Lakeside, The Ojay's ....
Prince!
Just the sounds you'd hear walking down the street as a kid made you want to get involved.

Well, the Temptations are actually an amalgamation of two groups -- the Primes, a trio which Milton managed, and the Distants, Otis Williams' quintet. Two of the Primes (Eddie and Paul) joined three of the Distants (Otis, Melvin, and Al) to form the Temptations. So Milton was responsible for about half of the Temptations lol
