Joe Walsh said it was a lot more fun being in his 20s during the 70s, than it is being in his 70s during the 20s. Awesome guitar player. Check out Funk #49 and Rocky Mountain Way.

I heard an interview with Joe on the Bob & Tom Show. He said he had just spent some time with Ozzy Osborne and they were made aware that they had toured together in the seventies but neither one could remember any of it, but they know it happened because they have the posters.

Joe Walsh’s 1974 album So What was deeply shaped by tragedy. His nearly three-year-old daughter, Emma, was killed in a car accident on April 1, 1974, while sessions were underway. Grief-stricken, Walsh channeled his pain into the record, closing it with "Song for Emma," a haunting acoustic memorial dedicated to her.

Joe's 'outrageous' stories are mostly true - he famously carried a chainsaw in a guitar case to destroy hotel rooms. I saw an interview once where he mentions how hotel room windows don't open any more - he proudly said "that was all me!". He also is an electronics wizard - he helped Bob Heil develop the first Heil Talk Box and is a master - his Rocky Mountain Way, or the Eagles Those Shoes are excellent examples of him playing a guitar through a Talk Box.
