  Thank you to All who contributed to honor David's musical journey, it is an monument of human creativity, he will be missed and the world would not be the same without his sax and his playing :)

  We met David Sanborn at a record store in West Bloomield, MI. What a down to earth and very friendly man. He couldn't have been any nicer and more welcoming. RIP and thank you for all!

  Marcus Miller is so right about David Sanborn's influence. This is so beautiful makes me laugh, smile and cry. Thank you for the video.

  Rest in peace. I got to see Marcus and David play around 10 years ago... I will forever cherish that night.

  Another, Jazz funk legend, passes away, David Sanborn, massive, massive respect  I didn't even know he passed away, until recently,. Funny, I was playing some of his albums the other day❤❤

  I was at this show, sitting directly under the left side of the piano. I looked up to see Paul Shaffer, RIcky Peterson, and Bob James... and had to look under and around the piano to see center stage, but it was sooooo worth it. Dave was my teen/20s idol on the saxophone - I wanted to be him. Saw him many times in the 80s and 90s with Hiram Bullock running around the stage and later throughout the audience with his wireless setup. Eric Marienthal was really the only choice to be the main tribute to Dave. What a show!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Legends has been said so often in the comments, but there is no other word so accurate to describe these gentlemen. These awesome musicians have influenced entire decades of new and aspiring musicians and continue to do so. They set the bar so high! &nbsp; In the 1980&apos;s I was a young bass player and David Sandborn and Marcus Miller were in my cassette player non-stop! &nbsp;Eric Marienthal and the Chick Corea Electric band were also huge influences during that time. &nbsp;Eric is such a great choice for Sax and so humble as well. Dave Koz did amazing as well! &nbsp; Great to see Paul rocking the blue shades. Thanks so much for the tribute to David. &nbsp;He is greatly missed. Godspeed and rest in peace.
