Just read on the website that there is a 5yr waiting list. So even this is out of reach of most people. Nobody knows whats going to happen tomorrow let alone in 5yrs time. This is why most people go down the mortgage route as they have no other suitable option.

Time stamp 30.32 sheyuk makea a relevant point and in addition because capatliam push individualism instead of collectivsm we think on our own instead of family commujity etc to generate wealth we have become so consumed by our own greed..

The other thing is banks are allowed to counterfeit money and loan you that counterfeited money and they charge you 100% interest on it in the course of 30 year mortgage so if a house is 200,000 by the end of 30 years, you will be paying 400,000

El Salamo aleikom, thank you for arranging and broadcasting this discussion. As a muslim who is from Egypt and who has been in the UK for five years, I would like to say: 1. Pfida for me is a pure islamic model (free from riba and exploitation). 2. Such model will not survive unless we muslims invest in it, even if people will not be buying themselves, they need to fight "atomisation" and develop the real sense of cummunity for the sake of allah and helping the cummunity (islamic and non islamic). This will make muslims own homes without riba and will make non-musims own homes without causing inflation and harming future generations. 3. As muslims, this is a pure model to present to non-muslims. This is a win-win situation. As a muslim living here in the UK, I feel the urge to help non-muslims with pifida islamic finance. I truly believe that once non-muslims are aware of pfida and trust it, we'll be getting exponential results.<br><br>Thank you Pfida for forming and applying this model which enables a halal home ownership.

35 minutes in (not finished, so maybe discussed later) but the elephant in the room is also the cost of these islamic home finance products. Rates are usually higher as are deposits. Average house price in June was £288k, 20% deposit is £57,000. For FTB these figures arent attainable
