How can people compare little Ivan Demidov to Leo Carlsson. Demidov is a role player on a good team, Carlsson is a franchise cornerstone

It's almost like "taxes" is a bigger deal in the Canadian middle class broadcaster world than multi millionaire hockey player world. It's not nothing, they do care, but not the way marek does.

About the Shane Wright of it all... Shane had every opportunity to grow and shine in Seattle. He was brought up for 10 games three years ago and played the full schedule the last two seasons. Bylsma loved him, benched him for 5 games and Shane turned things around. Lambert treated him with white gloves like a special child - offensive zone faceoffs, time on power plays and overtime but Shane looked overwhelmed and overmatched most of the time. I wish Shane good luck! But it is time for Seattle to trade him while Shane is still famous for "almost being a number one draft pick", especially in Canada.

For sure, Verbeek should let Philly eat this STUPID contract, and then use the picks to get Elias Pettersson and a D-man from Vancouver... Still save money, and fill D need, and get a comparable young, talented C. JUST DO IT ! ❤

I know this guy has been there done that but to tell Anaheim to spend $40 million dollars in essence to save face sounds ridiculous to me because if you're talking about keeping him for 2 years and then you can do what you want with them you spent 40 million so you can trade him after 2 years? That doesn't make a ton of sense to me granite I'm a nobody but If you're going to invest $40 million in someone you better keep them around for as long as you can not just do it for 2 years and then trade them when the leverage flips

I mean if he does that that 40 million half of that should come out of verbeeks pocket, cuz you could have had him for a lot less

I’m a Ducks fan and since Etem punted on the question, I’ll break it down. The team FINALLY has real optimism after a 7 year playoff drought, but due to mismanagement/asshole GMing, and a selfish phenom of a player, we are now looking at a downward trajectory when we should be a rocket ship taking off. Carlsson is supposed to be the new Getzlaf, LEADING BY EXAMPLE, but he held the franchise hostage by forcing this massive cap hit. I don’t blame him for wanting the most money possible but the way he handled it was immature, selfish and not of a captain. He should have just told them about the offer sheet and taken the 15 mil he wanted.
