  You watched foreign Russian memes, not classic Russian memes, these videos are made specifically for foreign audience, that's why there're so many drunk people here, cause this is what foreigners like. While alcoholism is a big problem in Russia, it's not as popular as represented. Russia is something like 30th place in alcohol consumption according to WHO, still bad, but aren't close to 1st place
