  I remember V1 ads in Popular Science and Popular mechanics magazines, all through the 1990's.  Then I finally bought and kept one in 2011. Its been serving me well. I picks up every single collision avoidance system on the road in the last few years. But it still works great when I'm in an area with no other traffic and it goes off.  I don't like that its now $500 instead of $400.  But someday I will replace this unit.  Thank you for making this super detailed and very informative video.

  This guy's the king of radar detectors!  He comes across as an engineer but I bet he makes his living running a hot dog stand.  THANKS for all the research!  VERY helpful for deciding the radar detector I want to get.  So much useful info is presented that I have to take a nap after watching a Vortex video.

  I bought my R7 before the V1G2 launched so I was initially torn between the R7 and 360c. Glad I got the R7 now. Both the V1G2 and R7 seem pretty good too, but I prefer the interface of the R7 more.<br><br>My R7 consistently surprises me at how far it can detect Ka band in my area. I&apos;ve picked up Ka like 3 minutes away (mostly straight road with some mild elevation changes) before finally spotting the LEO.
