  Who knew depression could be this beautiful<br><br>Edit: Holy shit, for the 50th person to tell me to stop romanticizing depression, I meant that beautiful things can still come out of ugly places.   sometimes i worry about you, the stranger reading these words through a screen in the dark. the stranger who is fighting a war by yourself. it&apos;s not easy being you but you do it to the best of your abilities. it&apos;s not easy being you and yet you survive on nights like this. you inspire me so much despite being a stranger. you inspire these words as you continue to fight for the love you deserve. i know it feels like moving on is impossible and sometimes you don&apos;t even know where to start but I hope you know that there&apos;s a power that lives within you. a power that no one can destroy. a power that can be used to set yourself free. sometimes i worry about you but then i remember how strong you are. i believe in you, please believe in yourself. <br>take care.

  This was the song that came on the radio while I was driving to work after the February 6th earthquake in Turkey. It was a cold Thursday morning and I still couldn&apos;t reach my ex-girlfriend who lived right in the epicenter of the earthquake zone. It had been more than 72 hours since the earthquake and I was beginning to accept that she didn&apos;t make it. We still loved each other, but family disagreements a few months before had forced us to separate. After the song came up, I couldn&apos;t help but be reminiscent of our good times back in the day. I started to think of what I wouldn&apos;t give to hear her soothing voice, only if it was for a few seconds, just for her to tell me she was okay. This song reminds me of her, and the countless text messages and phone calls that went unanswered. A fading cry toward the abyss.

  I am a security guard at a factory in Turkey. When I listen to this song alone at night and look up at the sky for a moment, I know there is someone in a town beyond the oceans who feels the same as me. This is great!

  I think this doesn&apos;t feel depressing, nor sad. It feels like you&apos;ve passed the stage of the innocence of childhood and the recklessness of teenage years. In other words, the fact that you appreciate this kind of songs means you&apos;ve reached maturity.
