Hi my lovelies!! So we FOUND the issues with the audio. Pretty much my computer software was unable to detect BOTH mics and only recorded ONE. That sucks. GOOD NEWS is we can fix it moving forwards! Bad news is we still have a few episodes this impacted unfortunately. Thanks for being patient!

As someone who is a cast member in entertainment and has gone from a guest facing role to a backstage role, Jessica is very accurate with the amount of people it takes to make the magic work. It is hard work but for some it can be very rewarding!

Thanks for bringing up the DAS pass situation, as the Disabled community is deeply disappointed and hurt. It truly feels like a slap in the face. One of the reasons Disney used to feel so magical to us was because it was so accessible and there were people with disabilities visible in most places you visited. My daughter even expressed that she felt the ”least alone and different in her whole life” in Disney World the last time we went because of that diversity. <br><br>Even though she may still qualify for the pass, it won’t be the same. First of all, we wouldn’t expect to see as many disabled people around anymore- why would we pay so much money to go to a park we can’t fully enjoy? The Disney executives have shown some ugly colors when they made the decision that we aren’t worth their while because we’re too costly to accommodate. It was too much of a pain for them and consequently made it impossible for some of us to visit. They’ve effectively communicated that they don’t care and we don’t matter. If that wasn’t the message they weren’t trying to send, they should reconsider their actions. Words won’t make it better. <br><br>Secondly, having to justify ourselves to get the DAS pass and disclose all kinds of personal medical information to a cast member who isn’t a medical professional and likely doesn’t have vast knowledge of disabilities and health conditions is asinine to the point where it’s insulting. It’s insulting to me as a Disabled person with a significantly Disabled child that I need to justify myself with all kind of medical information to a random and likely unqualified cast member (through no fault of their own, to be clear) in order to get an accommodation that’s necessary for me to enjoy the park that I’m paying a LOT of money for. I prefer not to spend so much money to be insulted.<br><br>It’s a shame to have to feel this way- we’re Disney people. We’ve been a Disney family forever, and most of our most precious memories are from past Disney trips. It was a safe haven for us because it felt like a break from the non-inclusive life we usually lead. It’s such a loss to feel like we are no longer welcome members of the Disney community because we need reasonable additional supports in order to enjoy the parks. It’s such a “well… now what do we do?” kind of situation that shouldn’t feel as important as it does.

The cast members create the best memories. I still remember when my first trip when I was pregnant and twisted my ankle, the first aid guys got me into a wheelchair and helped me on to the bus. The cast member playing Alice who snuck up next to me while I was crouched looking for a signing pen. The cast member at Tatooine Traders geeking out over star wars.

Walt Disney made the parks for everyone, kids and adults! It’s in his opening speech!<br><br>"To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world"

I remember a story, years ago, a family contacted a Scottish park (I think it was M&Ds) to request permissoin to scatter their daughter ashes at the park. For all the reason stated in the video they were told no, but they planted a small rose bush on the grounds of the park so they could scatter the ashes in the soil. Thought it was a really sweet compromise. But i see why they cant do that for everyone.

Instead of people trying to spread their ashes around Disneyland, Disney should start a tree planting program, and build a massive garden space for people to relax, get fresh air, and away from all the chaos. They could name the trees after people who have passed. I feel like a small amount of ashes could be added to dirt and maybe families could have a ceremony planting a tree in honor of their family member. If people want to leave ashes at Disney land, if there’s really some kind of demand for that, maybe there is a way they could accommodate it so people don’t sneak them in and create a biohazard. Instead of the ashes being vacuumed away, they could use them to support the growth of a new tree and support new life. <br>I personally think it could have a beautiful outcome.. Maybe they could do something neighboring the park to minimize tears and sad thoughts within the park. A Disney forest, with some walking trails would be really cool.

The bubble thing started because Walt did want to have a bubble around magic (from what I’ve heard) so that the weather wouldn’t effect the guest experience making it always sunny and the “perfect” weather but it never happened. A concept ideal.

I have 2 children with autism. I knew about DAS before taking them to Disney and knew other families who used it and absolutely needed it for their autistic children. I knew that my kids had trouble not driving others insane while they impatiently waited in lines. We fast passed the essentials and looked at the times in line on the app for the other things and if lines were longer than they wanted to wait we did a game that triggered with cards around the park or looked for hidden mickies, or got food. My kids knew that lines were part of going to Disney and while we knew they were eligible we didn't want to take advantage of the system. So when we arrived and saw a line outside of the customer service building my kids said, "we'd rather wait in line for rides than wait in line for a pass to reduce our wait time later." And we said "ok, we'll see how it goes and we can ask for the pass later in the day or another day." Autism is not an automatic, you need a pass, it certainly helps though. But I"ve heard of people in wheelchairs (and having been in a wheelchair for a few months last year, I can tell you they don't travel well through queue lines) being declined DAS. Wheelchair users should automatically qualify, even if they are ambulatory wheelchair users, ambulatory can walk but not necessarily for long or far and I visited a local amusement park in this way last year when I recovered enough to not need a wheelchair daily but could not beon my feet for long distances yet - and the local park gave me a pass that allowed me to go to the exit with up to 6 people 10 times for 2 rides in a row, only once did I not get on immediately and then I was told to come back in 10 minutes.

I would love to hear more cast member horror stories. On the other hand, I would love to hear more CM Magic memories where they were able to make someone’s day!!!!
